ADHD Services for Adults in Annapolis, MD

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that impacts focus, organization, motivation, emotional modulation, memory, and other functions of the brain’s management system.

There are many reasons why ADHD can be missed throughout someone’s life or not be recognized until adulthood. Whether you’ve been aware of your ADHD since childhood or are exploring it for the first time as an adult, therapy can help you to better understand and manage your ADHD.

What does therapy for ADHD look like?

The ADHD brain is creative, intuitive, and smart. You may come to therapy looking for solutions and ways to change your brain, we are here to support you and find approaches that compliment your strengths. We utilize an individualized approach to ADHD and take time to learn about your unique story as we develop your therapeutic goals. Depending on what you are looking to gain from  therapy, we may explore your past, assist in managing executive functioning challenges, or work through deep feelings (e.g., grief, shame, or rejection).
